Shareholders
Open, and interactive dialogue throughout the pandemic with shareholders addressed our corporate governance policies and operational performance, conveying confidence and flexibility to manage our business for long-term.
Employees
Rapid transition of the majority of the U.S. workforce to remote work occurred seamlessly. Prudential quickly and thoughtfully broadened health benefits for employees and their families and released an “Employee Resource Guide” for easy access to services and support available to meet employees’ personal and professional needs. Our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer has provided video updates to all employees since COVID-19’s onset.
Customers
We handled nearly 850,000 customer calls
in the month after the national emergency
declaration, helping to calm nerves through
volatile market conditions, and provide
access to needed benefits. We enhanced
online and digital tools and deployed
additional resources in our contact centers
to further respond to customer needs.
Society
Prudential fortified its long-standing
commitment to help local communities,
where the health, well-being and prosperity
of our neighbors are vital to our future. We
collaborated with nonprofit partners, and
offered local governments expertise to
support a responsible road to recovery by
restoring economic health through public
health.
